The Legislative Council has unanimously adopted the report of a Committee of Inquiry which was presented a fortnight ago, in which Mulder Rfetoriua were exonerated from blame in connection with alleged offences for which they had been punished under martial law, the former being deported and the latter fined; The report stated that in this instance Lord Alverstone’s Commission, which recently inquired into the administration of martial law, had failed to protect loyal subjects of the King. DUTIES IN NATAL.
The suspension of the Custorils duty in Natal on imports of flour and meal has been extended till 1904. REMOVAL OE RESTRICTIONS.
The representatives of the White Star line at Sydney have received a cable message stating that it is unnecessary now for passengers to the Cape to secure permits to enable them to land.
