Earthquakes.
Earthquake shocks have been experienced in south-eastern Tennessee and north-western Georgia. The concussion at La Soufriere (St. Vincent) on Thursday was heard at Barbadoes. Arrowroot fields at St. Vincent have been devastated, wide areas of tillage considered 'outside the volcanic zone being buried in. hot sand.
Many residents of Georgetown journeying to Kingstown were exhausted by hunger and thirst.
