—.—.* Messrs Abraham and Williams report At Palmerston wo had only three pens of sheep, and an average •ntry 1 df cattle. Generally there was a marked improvement all round and with one or two exceptions the whole of the stock yarded changed hands with prices in favor of vendors. Dairy cows and heifers near profit were in demand. Steers also sold well. Quotations— Sheep: Fat and forward ewes- 10s Sd, fat hoggets 18s 7d, full-mouthed owes and lambs 12s 8d Cattle: Forward bullocks £7. and l-yr steers £6 4s, 2-yr steers £8 14s to £4,18 month steers £8 10s, small weaners 28i, fat heifers £6 16s, dairy oows springing £6 17s 6d to £ll Bs, others £8 19 to £6, heifers £5 16a to £6 2s, 2-year heifers £Blßs to £4 Bs, store cows £3 Is to £8 18s Bd.
