OTAKI MAORI RACING CLUB.

. The second day’s racing of the above Club’s Spring Meeting took place on Thursday. The weather was all that could be desired, though the attendance was not large. The sum-of £2855 was put through the machines. Following are the results * Trial Handicap, seven furlongs.— Clovelly, 1; Rebellious. 2; Valima, 8. All started. Won on the post by a head, Time, Imin 17Sec. Dividend, £2 4s and £1 Ils. Otaki Handicap, seven furlongs.— Pantomine, 1; Mussell, 2; Whenga, 8; The only starters. Lifebelt was scratched. Won easily. Time, 1 min 82seos. Dividends, £ll6s.

Hurdles, one and a half-miles,— Kohunui, 1; Mourner, 2 ; Kyra, 8. Qlovis wag first away and led over the first fence,, where Aitua fell and broke hia neck. Going round the back Clovis fell and brought down Old Gun, which left Mourner with a go d lead of Kohunui, but; the latter coming on under the whip got up in time to win by a head. Time, 2min SSsecs, Dividends, £ll6s and £2 2s.

Ngatihuia Handicap, one mile and a distance.—The Guesser, 1; Cure, 2 ; Ora, 8. Also started—Lifebelt. Wehenga was scratched. Led all the way. Time, 2min. Dividend, £l2 16s.

Railway Handicap, sis furlongs.— In-the-Yan, 1; Kereru, 2; Mairebau, 8. Also started—Aldinga and Dalky. Smithy was scratched. Time, Imin ITsecs. Dividends, £2 18s and 15s.

Rangiuru Welter, one mile.— Velocity, 1; Smithy, 2; Tyrone, 8. All started. Time, Imin 47sao. Dividends, £l2 Ss and 17s. Electric Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Elibank 1, Turepo 2, Peter 3. Dividends, £4 6s and 14s.
