Rickard, who has acted as Dr Graham’s assistant in Foxton for the past seven months leaves this afternoon for Westport, where he has accepted a good position _as loann tsnens to Mr Robinson, chemist, of that town. During his short stay here Mr Rickard made many friends, particularly taking an interest in athletics, the Foxton Sports Club, of which ho was a joint secretary, will thus lose one of its most prominent officials. This is to be regretted, as everything possible has been done to make the sports a success, and his presence to carry out the duties for the gathering will be hard to fill. Mr Rickard has also shown an interest in other nutters, and will be missed socially besides. Last night a few of bis friends met together and wished him success. Mr Rickard has intimated that if possible he will try and be present on the day of the sports.
