This inward correspondence was detit with as follows From H. Cotter, asking that Ban* furly road fog repaired. ' From. Fred. Seifert, requesting that a crossing be placed over tramway . between whale’s and Boaina Lines, he to pay part cost. From Napoleon Beta, asking Conn* oil’s intention in reference to water in drain at Motuiti. From Glen Oroua Dairy Company, asking to be supplied with three trucks of metal at Rowe’s siding. From Bulls Town Board, stating that negotiations for the extension of the tramway to Bulla were ter* minuted. From Me Fulton, engineer, stating that Mr Smith was engaged at other work, and he could send no one else to oversea the laying of crossings on j. Tramway extension, and suggesting that the Tramway manager do the work. From 0. Whisker, in reference to spoil said to contain gorge seed, placed in front of his fence, and askthat it be removed. From Railway Engineer, Wanganui stating that there were no old , rails on hand. From Fred Seifert, drawing attention to the bad state of the road alongjhe Kari Eari drain, through Houtoa estate, estate. ' From Treasury, notifying payment of £soo io credit of Council on account of Taikorea and Bellow road loans. MISCELLANEOUS. Messrs Tarrant, Gollingwood, and O’Railly, waited on the Council re obtaining a subsidy towards obtaining artesian water lor public use at Awahuri. The request was granted that the estimate of the cost be obtained. The deputation also complained that the ranger took stock from Awahuri to impound at Bandon. They suggested that a pound should be erected at Awahuri, otherwise, impounding to be done away with in the Mount Stewart Biding. Alter consideration the Council issued instructions to the ranger sot to impound stock from on any road in the County between 8 a.m. and 6 p m. It was decided to order ten tone of new rails for use on the tram lines. Wardens McLennan and Bobinson were authorised to Sign the'rate book for the current year. The Engineer was instructed to meet Or Carter and the settlers re the bad state of the Eari Eari drain road.
