The request was granted that the estimate of the cost be obtained. The deputation also complained that the ranger took stock from Awahuri to impound at Bandon. They suggested that a pound should be erected at Awahuri, otherwise, impounding to be done away with in the Mount Stewart Biding. Alter consideration the Council issued instructions to the ranger sot to impound stock from on any road in the County between 8 a.m. and 6 p m. It was decided to order ten tone of new rails for use on the tram lines. Wardens McLennan and Bobinson were authorised to Sign the'rate book for the current year. The Engineer was instructed to meet Or Carter and the settlers re the bad state of the Eari Eari drain road.
