School Cadets.
The Minister for Defence has suggested the following as an appropriate uniform for the whole of the 1 schools:—For officers—Frock: Blue cloth, with stand-up collar; plain V cuffs; shoulder-straps of same material as frock; rank-badges in metal; a buttons lo bear tbe' , iame cap-badge. Trousers; pf the same, material as frofek; Starlet welt down outside seam.. • For Rank and File.—-Blae woollen jersey, blue.cloth knickerbockers. ;,*s}d bluestockings. Head, dress-(for. all ranks)—Glengarry cap,' with Jttced border. Chevrons tor non-coinniHif-sioned officers to be £in yellow braid on scarlet cloth; crowns and stars in yellow worsted to be worn above J tbe . chevron. Cap-badgy—The , Royal Cipher surrounded by. a garter hearing the words " Public School Cadets, N.2.,” and surmounted by a .Tudor crown. ' ‘ ... As soon as the badges, chevrons, waist belts, buttons, swords, swordslings, and sword-knots are received in the Colony they will be issued to recognised corps wearing uniform; and haversacks and caps will be on. sale at the same time.
