The of the above Club net at Mr Laing’s Family Hotel last night, the President, Hie Worship the Mayor, in the ohair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. ■ . A programme was drawn up which will be submitted to a general meeting to be held on the r«th Inst. A deputation formed consistlog of Messrs Noonan, Hamer and the secretaries to wait on the Council in reference to improving grounds. It was resolved that the coming sports start at n o’clock instead of ra as last year. ’ ' ■ . . It was proposed that the secretaries ■ enquire as to cost of advertising programme in Palmerston papers for at feast one week before nominations Mr Hennessy kindly promised a trophy for a hioyele race.
