Gifts of fruit and flowers from Sir Thomas Lipton, Baron Rothschild and the Countess of Warwick were received.

The King sent a farewell message to the diva through the Prince of Wales,

Mr Alfred Rothschild presented Madame Melba with a necklet of diamonds and turquoises.
