The Manawatu Poultry Association.
The motto of this Association is “ I will," audit is the first association in the colony formed to develop the poultry industry on commercial lines. The object ot this Association are many. One is to develop the production of poultry and eggs for the Loudon and local markets, another is to make Palmerston North the central meeting-ground for all poultry breeders by holding a great annual show at the commencement, of the breeding season, when breeders require a change of stock. The Association holds frequent meetings of members, at which is discussed all matters of interest concerning the industry. The first annual Show will be held at the Theatre Royal next Wednesday and Thursday. Visitors to the Show will see the finest and largest collection of poultry ever exhibited in-the colony. The Minister of Agriculture will be a visitor to the Show, and the Association hope that arrangements will be made for his Excellency the Governor to open the Show on Wednesday at midday. Tickets for the supper to be given on Wednesday can be obtained from Mr Mounaey, the • secretary of the Association. —Standard.
