To-morrow night the- Volunteers - '• hold their second annual ball, .which - they trust will be even bettor than, the ; first—if it is not it will not be for waqt of trying.-* The band will give every tion, the Cornwall Family hafftng been engaged, and the catering, being in the" bands of the ladies, will - surpass any. ( . thing yet provided, " ' E ' - Volunteers have got their name up as good hosts, and tickets have beep selling fast, so a record attendance is expected, and has been prepared for. • Good music, good door,.and good' partners, an exceedingly pleasant pros* pect for an enjoyable evening, besides which two prizes of one guinea each will be given to the best fancy dress of lady and gentleman. The hall is to be prettily decorated . and well lighted. Members bolding unsold tickets ars requested to hand them in the seore* tary before 5 o’clock to-morrow aftei‘ : ; ; noon. - 1
