PA BADE OF INDIAN TROOPS.
The Companionship of the Order of St. Michael and Si George was presented to Major Bauchop, of the New Zealand Mounted Rifles, at the review of colonial troops. The review of Indian troops on Wednesday was exactly the same as that of the colonials on Tuesday, bub the brilliancy of the spectacle was heightened by the gay uniforms of the Indian detachments. ' The Queen took a snapshot of the returning troops from a window of Buckingham Palace, the Indians meanwhile cheering lustily. MESSAGE FROM THE KING. Lord Roberts, on behalf of the Queen, has sent a complimentary message to the colonials and Indians. Lord Roberts adds“ The King desires me to inform the soldiers of the colonies and India, who are such worthy representatives of the Empire, that his Majesty, from his sick room, heard with gratification the expression of the people p welcome to their loyal comrades.”
