Expressions of Sympathy.
"The Times" states that the Nationalist Commoners received the news with unfeigned regret. Messages show profound sorrow exists throughout Canada. France has notified her deep concern with .the hope and desire of the King’s recovery. When the bulletin announcing the successful operation Was posted at the Mansion House, the crowd aang the National Anthem; also after the issue of the evening bulletin. ~ Loyal tributes have been received from every Colony of British communities and foreign capitals. The whole of India is deeply moved, and every creed joins in prayers for the recovery of the King. The Kaiser Is profoundly affected at the King’s illness. Queen Alexandra and the Prince of Wales, in telegraphing their thanks for messages of sympathy from the provinces, added that the King is progressing satisfactorily. Germany has officially expressed the nation's earnest sympathy. The French journals remark that the colonies are inseparable and indistinguishable from the Motherland, whether in joy or sorrow. The Italian Senate sent a message of sympathy for the King, also expressing joy at the latest bulletins.
