The final surrender of burghers in Orange'River Colony was made at Quaggafontein, where Brand’s commando of 248 men, and Niewhondth’s numbering 452, gave in their submission. The final surrender of 130 men still in arms is awaited in Cape Colony, COLONEL POSTER. In Addition to the Honotlrs list published in November, Lord Kitchener, in a despatch dated Bth April, recommends Colonel -Nortet) of the New Zealand Mounted Infantry, for gallant service in the field. BOTHA, DE WET AND DE LA REN. Lord Kitchener has telegraphed to Generals Botha, De la and De Wet expressing high appreciation of their unflagging loyalty. His Lordship says it was entirely due to their exertions that the burghers had displayed loyalty in accepting the change. The King was greatly pleased, and the British people were deeply impressed, and were anxious to welcome their fellow-citizens. THE GRANT TO LORD KITCHENER.
