The King’s Dinner.
The dinner the King proposes to give to half a million Of his poorer subjects promises to ba a big success. It will take place in various halls all over tbc metropolis. One wealthy patriot has offered half a million menu cards for. tha occasion. >THo design has been accepted by tha King, and each card bears the inscription— “ King Edward Heartily bids you welcome to his Coronation Dinner,*’ and then follows a space for the name of the guest. One firm has promised 26,000: bottles of Yorkshire Relish ; another as much limejuice cordial as may ba wanted. The big brewers offer beer, and threequarters of a pint will ba at the disposal of Hack guest who desires it.
