Signing the Convention.
After signifying their acceptance of the terms, all the. Boer delegates arrived at Pretoria on Saturday, and at half-past ten- that night signed the document containing the terms of surrender. Lord Kitchener at once despatched a message to England, adding that Lord Milner and himself had signed the convention. The Vereeniging conference came to a unanimous decision on Saturday, and the principal leaders accompanied the delegates to Pretoria. The 26th and 27th inst. have been proclaimed public holidays in Pretoria. The Daily Express says a knot of irreconcilables were told that they would have to fight alone. It was / only then that they yielded.
