Fighting in China.
SLAUGHTER OP REBELS. A severe battle was fought at Chulusien. The rebels lost fifteen hundred killed and wounded, but compelled the troops to retire. _ The Boxers are re-assembling in Shan-tung. Prance has notified China that the insurrection in the province of Kwangsi is interfering'with the trade of Tonquin, and unless it is suppressed before July, Prance will take steps to protect her interests. PEARS OP A GREAT RISING. Monsignor Pasaerinie, Vicar-Apos-tolic of Southern China, who is visiting Rome, anticipates a vast anti-European rising in China, the more terrible because it is being patiently and systematically prepared. __________
