CORONATION CELEBRATIONS.

TO TBS EDITOR OF" THE MANAWATTI HERALD. giß ( —As I consider the proposed Coronation Celebrations of our town |g light and frivolous, permit me to express my disapproval of them and to suggest that they be cancelled, tnd that a higher and more noble platform be ch'-aen by which honour would be shown our King and our town.permanently benefited. I think BOm| public work should be done, |nd would suggest a Public Bath on on the river bank, to be called King Edward TITs Bath. ! I am confident lhat every one able to help in town would support this measure and subscribe liberally to obtain a long needed want. ' I would gladly make one to canvas the town for help in this matter, and also in any other work that would honour the day and would be handed down from one generation to another. I am. &c., S. H. Baker. The Pines, May 24tb, 1902.
