THE CORONATION CELEBRATIONS.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATD IKBALD* Sir, —Although I was not abls to bo present at the Coronation meeting last night, I see by the report that. there are some celebrations to be undertaken on that day, and 1 quite agree with Mr Thynne’s proposals. But I should like to see something : done in the town in remembrance of King Edward’s Coronation, something that will beautify the town as well as being a convenience to the public, and remind the rising generation of this rare event. 7 I should like to suggest that ah ornamental lamp post be erected at the end of the triangle, with a strong enough lamp to show the public which end of the town they are in at night, and show visitors that Foiton is coming out of its shell. Moping that some able pen will take the matter up. I am, &0., Coronation. Foxtoh, 20th May, 1902.
