Athletic Sports Club.

At the last meeting of the Athletitf 1 Sports Club the resignation of Mr Llghtbourae as secretary was received, and the members decided that as the annual meeting is to take place shortly, „ Mr MacDermott was elected to fill the vacant position, pro tem. ■■■■... , It was resolved to have 100 memesrs cards printed at once, and. distribute to members. The question of seeing to the running track was discussed, and it .was thought advisable to lose no time inascertaining what should bo done. The secretary was instructed ta write the Manawatu Amateur Athletic Club inquiring as to their fixture for the 9th November. The Treasurer said £l9 9s was at the credit of the Club in the bank, after paying all accounts. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Lightbourne for his services, Mr Haywood for use of room, and to the chairman concluded the meeting.
