Universal Penny Postage.

The following telegram he* been received by os from tbe Hon. J. G. Ward, Postmaster-General: —“ Very pleased to be able to inform you that in response to representations made by me the Federal Government of Australia have to-day agreed to allow N.Z. letters to be admitted to the Commonwealth at the penny rate. This news I am sure will be received by yon with satisfaction as Australia was the only British country which so far had refused to agree to Now Zealand’s universal penny postage.— J. G. Was®.”
