Beuter’s agency states that the Kwangsi rebels hold thirty towns. They are armed with Mausers, and declare that the revolt is intended to overthrow the Manchu dynasty, and establish a Chinese Emperor over the provinces of Kwaugoi, Kwoi-san and Kwangtung, residing at Canton. The rebels do not molest Europeans.
