Another Queensland Tragedy.
A shocking crime has been com* mitted at Ithaea Shire, a suburb of Brisbane, a young girl, named Violet Findlay, being done to death in a most fiendish manner. The girl, who is between 13 and 14 years, of age, was sent oh a message to bay a few groceries, and was on her way home when the crime was committed. Her body was found lying by the roadside by a passer by, who gave ' js information to the police. yV wound, ■ which was at first believed to have been caused by a bullet, was found behind the ear, but the post mortem examination showed that she bad been stabbed. It was further asoer-
tained that the unfortunate girl was outraged before her death. _Tho police have been busily engaged investigating the matter, but bo far have no clue as to the identity of the murderer. The girl Violet Findlay—whose real name was Violet Daisy Amadee, M. nidi ay being her stepfather—reuu with her parents about a quarter of a mile from the spot where body was found. A quantity of blood was found in two places, where a struggle apparently took place. She was barefooted at the time, and a number of prints of her bare feet were found on the road where she must have crossed from the scene of the to where she lay down and died. The police and trackers are busily engaged endeavoring to obtain a clue, but so far with success.
