The Valdares.
The Valdares appeared to a crowded house on Thursday night and their performances were greeted with loud applause. The items of the entertainment were undoubtedly the trick riding of Mr,.Mrs and Miss Valdare, in which skill and gracefulness, pluck and agility were exhibited in a pleasing manner. ; * The juggling portion was in the; hands of an adept, Mr Arlo, and his handling of sharp knives was a piece of sharp work and keen sight. His performance, with a heavy brass ball which he threw by the expansion, of the muscels of his arms from side to side and round his neck was cleverly executed. The figures which the ventriloquist used were most grotesque, and the performance marked the artist to be one of great skill. The singing caught on with the audience, and the whole entertainment went without a hitch. Miss Lewis, at the piano, contributed much to the success of the evening.
