Volunteer Notes.
The shooting committee of the local corps have declared the following handicaps in connection with the trophies to be shot for presented by .Messrs'Haywood, George Coley, and John Holmes & Co. Ranges 800, 600 and 600 yards, seven shots at each range. A Glass. —Sergts. Gray and Mitchell, scr.; Bugl. Newth, 5 points; Priavtes Smith, Ball and Jonson, 7 points. B Class.—Lieuts. Walsh and Baker, Privates Langley, Taylor, Rand and Collins, scr. ; Privates Hooker and Hurley, 2 points ; Sergts. Hamer and Austin, Privates Bowe, Saunders, Nye, Morgan and Betty, 4 points. C Class.—Sergt. Nye, net.; Privt. H. Tbynne, 2 points ; Privates Shadbolt, Sara, and P. Ray, 4 points; Cor. Coley, 5 points; Cor. Heta, Privates Ennis, Brown, P. Thynno, W. Hooker, Haretini, Baker, Jenks, Gillespie, Anderson, H. Ray, Glover, Palkner, Matheson, and J. Hill, 7 points. , , . The highest scorer in each class after the match will be re-handi-capped and fire 10 shots at 600 yards for choice of trophies. Colonel Nawall has telegraphed to Lieutenant Walsh that a special train will leave to-night at 6.15 to take the volunteers to camp at Wanganui, and a special will bring them back on Monday night.
