A meeting of the Manawatu Licensing. Committee was held at Marten on Saturday. Present—Messrs Greenfield, S M. (chairman), MoHardie, Banaom, Simpson and Woods. The recommendations . in the various police reports were ordered J« be
carried out before next quarterly meeting. Transfers of licenses we granted as follows: —From G. J. Scott, Manawatu Hotel, Foxton, to J. T. Levett; Thomas Haywood. Whyte’s Hotel, Foxton, to Francis Maria Haywood; William Hunter, Family Hotel, Foxton, to Andrew Laing; John Simpson, Junction Hotel, Sandon, to Henry J. Woodward ; W. E. Wilson, Criterion Hotel, Bulls, to P. S. Easton.
