Shooting Committee.

A meeting was held last night at the Post Office Hotel, when all were present. It was resolved that the Palmerston team be challenged to fire a return match at Palmerston on St, Patrick’s Day. Seven men aside. It was resolved that the Volunteer Corps be divided into three classes, A, B, and 0, according to their shooting merits. The classes to be for A, sixty points or over ; B, fifty to fifty-nine points ; 0, forty to forty-nine points. The past averages will qualify, but improved position can be gained in future practices. Eosolved, That a committee, consisting of Captain Hunter, > Lieutenants Walsh and Baker, and Col.Sergt. Gray canvass the town for trophies for competition.
