Sir Frederick Lugard, High Com* missioner of Northern Nigeria, is sending an expedition under Colonel Morland to divert trade from Kano to the Niger, also to inquire into the circumstances which led to Fadlallah, the son of Rabah, being killed by tjje French at Bornu. Fadlallah in June last year fled from the French into British territory.
