Football.

A meeting of those interested in forming a Football Union was held at the Manawatu Hotel last night, Mr Ketde in the chair. ' Proposed by Mr Desmond, seconded by Mr Morgan, That a union be formed, to be called the Foxton Football Union. Carried. Proposed by Mr Desmond, seconded by Mr Dunn, That Mr Lightbourne be secretary to Union. Carried. Proposed by Mr Tozar, seconded by Mr Proctor, That Mr J. T, Levett be President of Union. Carried. The following committee was appointed to work up the affmrs of the Union Messrs Desmond, Murphy, Morgab, Proctor, Hughes, Reade and Cole. , , Proposed by Mr Morgan, seconded by Mr Desmond, That the secretary be empowered to buy necessary stationery. Carried. It was decided that a meeting of the committee be held on Monday, 3 f d March, at the Manawatu Hotel. A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Levett for use ot room, terminated the meeting.
