Bank Robbery In Tasmania.
Two robbers entered the Bank, of Australasia at Queenstown, and gagged and bound the teller Brownrigg. The latter was working at the bank after ten o’clock, and had the safe open, . He answered a knock at the door, and the two men dashed in and covered him with a revolver. They then made the teller secure, coolly removed the gold and notes from the safe, and escaped. It was half an hour before Brownrigg could wriggle to the door dividing the bank from the residence to obtain assistance. The robbers secured £6448, of which £6OO was in gold and silver.
