MANAWATU v. WELLINGTON.

The above teams played a match at Miramar (Wellington), on. Saturday afternoon. The Wellington team comprised Skerrett, Johnston; Crawford, and Baldwin. Maoawatu—R. and H. Abraham, A. Strang and O. Robinson. The game was well contested*, and resulted in t!je defeat of the Wellington players by j goals to 4. For the winners Robinson played his usual steady game, Johnston and Baldwin being most prominent for Wellington. The return match took place yesterday, K. Duncan taking the pines of Skerrett, who was unable to play through iudlspasition. The local players were at the merey of their opponents during the greater part of the game, the visitors again winning by 10 goals to 2.
