RACE 1 NIGHTS.
Mr Cecil Sorrell, representative for this combination, has been busily engaged here for the last two days completing arrangements for their season at the Public Hall on Race nights. The first night " The Private Secretary,” a three-act farcical comedy, will be produced in its entirety, and all those who care for good genuine fun, brim fall, of good, wholesome and racy dialogue, should attend. On Thursday night “ Charley’s Aunt,” “From Brazil where the nuts come from ’’ will be staged, and we doubt whether the Hall will hold the people on this night owing to the popularity this play hds obtained in New Zealand. The company is a most powerful one, including Messrs E.D. Haygarth, E. C. Coclesse, E. B. W. J. Byrne, C. Archer, E. M. Keon, John Pittard, Fred. Smith, Alex. Mortimer, and Misses Lily Melrose, 1 Oliva Sisley, Polly Haygarth, Ida Kilgoac, Birdie Foley, and Ada Royal.
All the necessary scenery an# costumes are carried by the company, and each comedy will be mounted t with all the .effects our local stage will allow. Popular prices will be charged. Reserve seats can be had at Mr Alf. Fraser’s. -
