To start at 4.45 p.m. Races Nos. 3 and 7 (fir«t day), and 3 and 0 (second day), are open to all horses, the rest of the events are for hacks only. The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 10*bi, and of every additional race 7lbs extra, in all flat handicaps at the meeting. The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 b. , Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Hurdles and Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), close with the Secretary at • ozton on MONDAY, January 6tb, 1902, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day’s races will be dealared on or about January 10th, 1902. Acceptances for fir.-it day's races close on WEDNESDAY, January 15tb, 1902, at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Hardies and Maid.-a Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), close on WEDNESDAY. January 15th, 1902, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day’s races will be declared on Wednesday, January 22nd, 1902, at 8 p.m. . Acceptances, close same evening at 9 30 P Definition of a Hack.- A Hack means a horse that has pot ct date o! nom nations won a race of the value of 80 sovs, or races of the collective value of 159 sovs since Ist August , 1899, and has never won an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value o' 40 sovs (Had; and Banter t|H excepted). Every entry must eta'c the name, or assumed name of ihe owner or owners, and the name, age, pedigree and desoript on of the horse, together with the colors of the rider. The advertised fee must m every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the “ Rules ot xing.” No betting allowed on the course, except rough the medium of the totalisator. Ihe Committee reserve the right to alter y of the above da'es.
