DISATER TO BRABANT'S HORSE.

Intelligence has been received that while a body of mouflted troops from Aliwal North and Rouxvilled was on Friday last opposing two Boer commandoes near Zastron, in the southeast of the Transvaal, about twenty miles from the border of Cape Colony, a party of Brigadier-General Brabants Horse — mostly raw recruits — got detached from the main body and were surrounded in a defile by the enemy.

One hundred and seven surrendered to the Boers, after seven had been killed and thirteen wounded,
