We wish you all the Compliments of the Season^ AT THIS SEASON OF THE YEAR every business man should try and purchase Goods that will give pleasure to his Customers both as regards the suitaabily of the articles and the prices. While walking through the Wellington warehouses last week the advertiser was struck with the desire exhibited by the managers of the different departments to dispose of stocks before Xmas. In some instances he purchased goods at half price, the consequence is he purchased some hundreds of pounds worth, and hopes to give his Customers complete satisfaction. It is an old saying "an article wall bougiu is halt sold." We have done the purchasing and now solicit your patronage, so that the transactions may be complete. W$ have great confidence in drawing your attention to our prices as we know how difficult it would be for anyone on this coast to try and undersell us. For many years we have been successful (through selling reasonably), in keeping any serious opposition outside of Foxton, and now we notice the grocers are following our example, the consequences will be increased business all around, and as Foxton residents say — "WE PURCHASE CHEAPER AT OSBORNE'S." oOutsiders will say " We will drive into Foxton and gel; ouv groceries now that they are catering for our trade and competing with other towns the same as what EDMUND OSBOHNE, the Draper, has been doing for so many years. If everybody in Foxton could be induced to sell as cheaply as EDMUND OSBORNE does Foxton would become a second Wanganui." It is always gratifying to see the public appreciate one's services, and I have to thank you, one and all, for past favors and to intimate it is my desire to serve you still to the best of my ability. Wishing you at! a Merry Christmas. Yours obediently, EJ)MUWD QSBORNEo -
