» There was a good attendance at the quarterly social last evening, and an excellent entertainment was pr^ided^-^ Mr E. Osborne ably occupien tne chair. One of the first items was the presentation to Mr T. Westwood of a

beautiful copy of Bagsler*s Comprehensive Teacher's Bible. The presentation was made by the Rev. W. Wooliass, who alluded to Mr Westwood's long connection with the Church as scholar, teacher and official. All the Officials deplored the loss of Mr West- j wood's services and took that oppor- , tunity of wishing God-speed. Mr E. ■ Westwood also gave an appropriate , speech. Songs were given by Miss J lamer " Why must we say Good-bye ;" ! Miss Spring, "Dear Heart;"" Mr; Woollass, " True Till Death ;" Mrs ; "Woollass, "The Toilers," and " Bid ! Me to Love." The opportunity was j taken advantage of to publicly wel- J Come Trooper Robert Perre'au who was present, and delighted the people by an interesting and graphic account of j the South African campaign. The supper, which was kindly given by Mr , M. Perreau, was ot splendid quality , and greatly enjoyed. Mr H. S. Baker ! moved a hearty vote ot thanks to all J i who had helped to make the evening | i so successful which was carried, and j | the benediction closed the meeting. i j . i s
