The Athletic Sports.

♦ To-morrow the Sports will be held in Victoria Park. Though the weather is showery to-day there is every prospect of a fine day tomorrow. We trust the attendance will be up to expectation as the comm ittee have prepared a capital programme and have made every arrangement for the comfort and convenience of the visitors. Capital entrances for all the races have been received, and the bicycle races always draw. The youngest have been kept in view and races, with oapital prizes have been set apart for their amusement. The prizes have been considerably added to and more races added to the programme. Trophies have been given freely by all the business men and the Committee desire us to thank all the donors. All that is necessary for a large gathering is to propitiate the Clerk of the weather. The brass band will arrive by the Tram at 11 o'clock.
