PASTE AND BRUSH.
TO THK EDTTOB OF THE SIANAWATO HERALD. Sir.— Kindly allow me space in your valuable columns to express my thanks to the noble tradesman who supplied his dupes with the necessary weapons to perform the galTant work which was attempted on Saturday night under the cover of darkness. This gallant work which he himself dare not perform for lack of courage was to advance the " river excursion by strenuous efforts to cover up or hide the handbills notifying the athletic sports to. be held on tljeoth. Perhaps ;]Jfs *pd his musical friend do not Hke'the idea of a superior brass, band performing . in the town, and the success which the spoirts will attain. That jealousy exists there is not room to doubt, as paste and brush have been at work when all the lights were out. — I am, &c, Dum Dum.
