RECONSTRUCTION OF THE CABINET. The " Pall Malll Gazette " says that it is understood Lord Lansdowne's successor as Secretary of State for War will be a Commoner. Other newspapers state that the yon. J. Chamberlain will continue to be Secretary of State for the Colonies. The " Daily Telegraph," in discussing the situation, says : — It is reported that practically all the members of the Cabinet have formally resigned in order to facilitate any reconstruction that might be deemed necessary.
