Foxton Racing Club.
— ■ — » A committee meeting of the above club was held last night, at which the following business was transacted : — The tender of Messrs Neylon and Spriggens was accepted to work the totalisator for ensuing ymr. The programme as submitted by the Secretary was adopted. It was arranged to clear gorse along the boundary fence. Messrs T. Nolan, A. Langley, J. Buick, and N. Heta were elected members. Accounts amounting to £16 os gd were passed for payment.
The programme agreed to makes the following alterations: — The Foxton Cup has been raised from £ioo to £120. The Summer Handicap, from £50 to £60. The President's Handicap, from £70 to £100. The Railway Handicap, from £40 to £50. The Maiden Hack, Welter Hack, Maiden Hurdles, Carnarvon Welter, and Electric Hack have been raised from £25 to £30 each. The Second Hack Hurdles have been raised from £35 to £40. The Stakes have been increased by £100 for the meeting.
