LORD ROBERTS GRANTS AN ARMISTICE THE POSITION OF THE BOFRS. Lord Roberts has granted the Boers an armistice of five days. It is expected Erasmus will surrender. Schalkburger, acting- President of the Transvaal Boers, Viljoen, and the bulk of the Boers, are concentrated at a bush veldt, east of Pietersburg in an unhealthy situation. It is believed these Boers are likely to surrender. De Wet is reported south-west of Kopje's station. He has 900 men and three guns with him. Lord Roberts announces the City Volunteers will arrive in London on November the fifth, but he fears he himself will not return so soon. Boer officials with a bar of gold have left Delagoa Bay for Europe by the steamer Hezog.
