The Transvaal. GENERAL RUNDLE'S OPERATIONS. Major-General Rundle's troops attacked Bronkhorsfontein, and captured a gun and thirty waggons. A spent " pom-pom " shell struck and bruised General Rundle, but did not disable him. GREAT BRITAIN AND HOLLAND. Holland has informed Great Britain that she has offered a warship to convey Mr Kruger to Europe owing to his health. A reply has been sent that it is not intended to interfere with his journey. MR KRUGER AND HIS FRIENDS. The English press resents Holland's effusive patronage of and •signal honors to Mr Kruger. The " Standard " says that Holland's action is provocative and insolent. i It proves that the Dutch are ungrateful and are no longer our friends, nor have they any claims to regard. AT DELAGOA BAY. The mercenaries who were fighting with the Boers have now taken ; refugd in Delagoa Bay. They aro
the scum of the earth and are severely taxing the energies of the Portuguese. The Boer refugees at Delagoa Bay are vainly demanding cash from the officials for their " blue backs." LIBERATED PRISONERS. The prisoners released at Nooitgedacht included Corporal Whelan and four Victorian troopers captured at Priespoort early in July. The party of New Zealanders "who, under Captain Bourne, were captured at Reit Vlei, were also liberated, excepting Troopers McLennan and Peterson. The latter had previously made a sensational escape from Boer custody, particulars of which were published at Lhe time. Troopers T. O'Dwyer and T. Sherrock (?) were amongst the New Zealanders set free. The released prisoners also included Privates J. Harrison, W. McGannon and all the New South Wales, Victorian and West Australian troopers missing from Kosher River; also Privates Wise, Hayes and Baxter, of New South Wales. CAPTURE AND RELEASE. The Boers at Ketpoort captured three ambulances under Captain Perkins, with' Privates Maund Donnel an, Henry and Harkness, of the New outh Wales Medical Corps. The women clamoured to have them shot, but the prisoners were conveyed to Rustenburg, where 870 Boers are kepfc prisoners for refusing to break the oath of neutrality. The ambulances were kept by the enemy because they contained some Boer rifles, although these had baen retained more as curios than anything else. General De La Rey subsequently re' eased Captain Perkins and party, with Privates Board and Tasker, New South Wale 3 Bushmen, retaining Private Norris, of the Medical Corps, owing to illness. A WANDERING COMMANDO. There are eighteen hundred Boers south of Komati Poort bridge threatening to trek into Swaziland.
