A REPLY.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATU HERALD. Sir,— l consider that the proper time for " Miller," to have sought the information, concerning any sample shipment of hemp consigned by me, would have been at the meeting of the " Flaxmillers' Association," held in Foxton, last Tuesday evening. He however had not the courage to do so, but'must needs (under anom-de-plufhe) enquire through the column of your paper. Had he signed his name, I might possibly have satisfied his curiosity, but under the circumstances, certainly decline to answer any such inquisitive questions, without knowing to whom I am imparting such information. I am, &c, H. Austin.
