Thursday, 30TH August. (Before A. Greenfield, Esq., S.M.) The following cases were heard in addition to those previously reported. Ah Pat for riding a bicycle on foothpath was fined 2s 6d and costs 7s. Henry C. Wur.sch for allowing his chimney to catch fire was fined 5s costs 7s. Horace Brown charged with an assault of George Coley, pleaded guilty. Mr Hankins appeared for the com"plainant. Fined £1 and solicitor's fee 21s. in default seven days imprisonment. The case of Carl Evenson charged ■ for neglecting to provide for his wife, 1 was, after a short hearing, dismissed. The following parents were fined for the non-attendance of their children at school : — Mrs Anderson 65., M. Bowden 25., H. Andreason 2s. costs i 7s. .?nd G. Foster, Mrs Cnrrie, J. Kruse, VV. Cameron and C. Frazer 2s. each, A. Reeve 4s. The following parents were also summoned but their cases wer dismissed : — J. Andrews, G. Coley and J. Walls. Owen Flannagan was charged with having no lawful visible means of support and sentenced to 14 days imprisonment in Wanganui Gaol. CIVIT-, CASES. The following cases went for the plaintiffs :-T. Westwood v. H. Fiford, clam £6 13s 6s; Austin Bros. v. John Buckman, £19 13* sd ; do v. Eperaraima, £zs 13s 2d ; M. H. Walker v. Leo. Midellton £6 6s. 3d : J. E. Barham v. F. Cornwall and R. Cornwall, judgment for ios costs in each case. Many judgment summons were spoken of and adjudicated or remanded.
