Experience of Tent Life.
« Letters from our soldiers iv the Transvaal tell of terrible nights passed in the pouring rain on the rtldt without tent or covering, and the number of soldirrs already invaicled hime chows the grave results of this exposure. That the practice of camping out cvm when covered by ft t^nt is open to objection 's proved by anO rig Station bnshmau, Mr Christian Lai'sen. In giving his experience of tent life, he says : — " A number of us were employed pcrub catting at M a r a c k akaho, H a w k c ' s Bay, and had to sleep in a camp. Dnring ihe winter it was very cold and wet, and I suffer c d et-verely from shortness of breath, pains round my heart and across my chest. My blood became impoverished, I lost my appetite, general debi ity set in, and my chest trouble threatened bronchitis, just then I received a pamplet by pos v concerning Dr Willinms' pink pills. I sent for a supp'y, a d after a few dos^B fell a little relief. Gr dually the shortness of breath and pains round my heart left me, my chest became easier, and I was able, to do heavy \v;rk without bringing on a fit of coughing. Several box r s restore*! me to perfect health, and I have had no lviv.rn of ray ailments f.r over ten months. My fellow workers were all astonished to see me hard at work again." Winter weather and exposure to cold and damp rnakp onr b'ood thin and impure, thus encouraging rheumatism, neuralgia, sciatica, bronchitis, and consumption. Dr Williams' pink pills make rich, red blood, retone the nerves, strengthen the system, and banish all disease. They cure paralysis, rickets, St. Vitus' dance, scrofula, locomotor ataxia, pa'o and sallow complexions, aunamia, etc. Sold by the Qr Williams' Medicin 1 Co., Wei ington, three shillings per box, post free, and by chemists and storekeepers — But mind you ask for Dr Williams'. Mr Larpen's present address is Makaretu, Hawke's Bay.
