Wedding Bells.

The Methodist Church was filled with an admiring crowd ot friends N -yesterday to witness the marriage of TMiBS H. L. Simpson to Mr J. Hunter of Wanganui. The ceremony took place at 1.30 p.m., and was performed by the Rev. W. Woollass. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful dress pf pale cream serge, with trimmings of white satin, pearl and lace; she wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower bouquet of jonquils and snowdrops. The brideswere Miss M. and E. Simpson and Miss Eva Westwood, while the bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr W. Hunter, is best man. The bride and bridesmaids wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. As the party left the church, amid shswers of rice, Mr J. Kersley played the wedding march in fine style. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to a large marque erected near Mr Simpson's house, and a splendid breakfast was served, to which ample justice was done. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by the Rev. W. Woollass in suitable terms, and the bridegroom responded in a neat speech. Mr E. Westwood proposed the health of the bridesmaids, and Mr E. Osborne the health of the bride's parents, and Mr G. Simpson in replying said he was glad to Bee so many old friends around hint* After the breakfast games were indulged in and the festivities kept up to a late hour. The presents were very choice as well as being numerous, and came from all quarters. The happy couple left for Wanganui, their future home.
