A Remarkable Prophecy.
The " Spectator " quotes a laying f of M. Thiera to a party of friendi in
January 1871, which but foretold what has since taken place: — "Whenever England is in conflict with a foreign Power Europe will see her colonies rally round and co-ope-rate with her. Without the slightest •xpense to her they will equip their wldiera, their only ambition being to Bhow their close union with her and to demonstrate that their strength energy are at her disposal just as ■♦ner enormous resources are at theirs I predict this in spite of your smile of increduility, and although perhaps none of us will live to witness it."
