Murder of a King.

While King Humbert was entering his carriage on Monday three shots were fired at him from a revolver by an Anarchist named Angelo Bressi.

One of the bullets passed through his Majesty's heart, and he expired in a few minutes.

The assassin was almost lynched by the bystanders. At the time of the murder King Humbert was at Monva.

The Prince and Princess of Naples are at present away yachting in the Levant.

The assassin belongs to Prato, in Tuscany. King Humbert was returning from a gymastic competition when he was attacked by the assassin. At the moment when the fatal shot, was fired his Majesty was being cheered by the crowds. Rome was quiet at midnight, few people being then aware of the King's death.
