Foxton Racing Club.

The annual meeting of the above Club was held in McMillan's rooms last evening. There was a good attendance of the members, and the vice-president, E. S. Thynne, Esq., occupied the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, and the annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. REPORT OF COMMITTEE. The Committee herewith place the balance sheet before the members, and its perusal will be found to display the very satisfactory financial position of the Club. Members will notice that theTreceipts are £64. 18s 3d in excess of those for the previous years, whilst £50 was added to the stakes. The result of the year's working shows a profit of £155 15s 3d, which added to former balance leaves the Club with a substantial credit of £199 I2S 2d.

Members will be interested in learning that though the privileges for the la9t meeting decreased by £28 19s 3d, in every other item an increase was secured. In the nominations and acceptances the increase was £48 15s, members' subscriptions £3 3s, totalisator £33 2s 6d. The expenditure during the year has been out of the common, as £3 3s was voted to the Coyle Memorial Fund, and £20 to the Transvaal Relief Fund, besides, as before stated, the stakes having been increased by £50. The outgoing Committee recommend that an addition be made to the totalisator house to make space for two totalisators to be used in future, and also for the erection of a new judge's box. Your Committee highly appreciate the hearty work of all the officials which has tended to secure such a successful year, a great measure of which is due to our secretary, Mr J. R. Whyte, and certain proposals giving effect to this opinion will be laid before the meeting. Your Committee now retire according to 'rule.
