The Rev. Charles Garrett.

The Rev. Charles Garrett, the well-known Wesleyan Minister of Liverpool, has heen the recipient, on nig retirement, of an illuminated* album containing a framed letter recently received from Dr Eyle, the recently deceased Bishop of Liverpool. Mr Garrett, in thanking the donors, remarked that when once it waa reported that he was about to retire^ the Bishop pleaded with him to postpone it until he retired also, remarking, "We have been togetherbo long! There never has been a wojd of friction between us, then let us finish our course together." Con- 1 seqaenjkly he delayed hisownresigna- j tion till the Bishop had retired. The Bishop* he said, had also written; him a still more affectionate letter; the night before he left, in which he said, " Our next meeting will be in oujr Eatner*s house. It is a glorious home to which we are travelling, and While we loved each other on earth, and loved the Saviour, let us love on and look to the house where we shall live for evermore,"
